‘Hear from the New Government’

The Korea Herald, the country’s No. 1 English-language newspaper by circulation, is offering a special event in which foreign business executives can hear directly from government officials about the new Park Geun-hye administration’s key policies.

The event will share insight on the administration’s strategy on creating an innovative economy, corporate reforms, productive social welfare, labor policies and job creation, and the liberalization of financial markets.

There will also be a discussion session between government officials making presentations and representatives of the foreign business community in Korea.

Labor Minister Phang Ha-nam will speak about the labor management policies of the new government.
He is also expected to outline President Park’s policies on labor market stability.

Choi Sang-mok, director of Economic Policy Bureau at Ministry of Strategy and Finance will explain the new government’s economic policy directions and Ko Seung-bum, financial policy bureau chief of the Financial Services Commission, will offer insight into President Park’s financial sector reform plans. Tchoe Byong-ho, president of Korea Institute for Health and Social Affairs will talk about the government’s welfare and health policies.

For members of a foreign chamber of commerce, the participation fee is 440,000 won. For non-members, the fee is 880,000 won and 660,000 won for each additional member.
