Seoul shares down 0.13 pct in late-morning trade

South Korean stocks traded 0.13 percent lower late Monday morning due to losses in blue-chip exporters, analysts said.
   
The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index (KOSPI) moved down 2.63 points to 1,998.42 as of 11:20 a.m.
   
Major exporters lost ground, with top steelmaker POSCO falling 0.47 percent and No. 1 carmaker Hyundai Motor losing 0.24 percent.
Leading chipmaker SK hynix also shed 1.24 percent.
   
Logistics firms also traded bearish, with Hyundai Glovis losing 0.54 percent and CJ Korea Express decreasing 0.49 percent. Hyundai Merchant Marine fell 0.85 percent.
  
The local currency was changing hands at 1,128.35 won against the greenback, up 1.35 won from Friday's close. (Yonhap News)
