KT&G rolled out the “Tonino Lamborghini Gusto,” the latest of its Lamborghini lineup, the country’s largest tobacco maker said Wednesday.
Tonino Lamborghini Gusto contains 10 percent naturally fermented Cavendish tobacco, which brings out the natural sugars in the tobacco through pressure applied during the preparation process. Cavendish tobacco is named after British colonialist Thomas Cavendish, and became a popular material for pipe smoking.
“With its rich taste of pipe tobacco, we believe Tonino Lamborghini Gusto will secure high level of consumer satisfaction among those in their 20s and 30s, just as the recently released Tonino Lamborghini Icevolt GT has,” said KT&G’s brand team leader Kwon Min-suk.
The Korean tobacco maker launched the first Tonino Lamborghini product in 2012 after three years of product development. The premium brand is sold in 17 countries, including Hong Kong, Russia and Middle Eastern countries.
Tonino Lamborghini Gusto is 4,700 won ($4.10) per pack and contains 6.0 milligrams of tar and one half milligram of nicotine.
