[STOCK WATCH] SeAH BeSteel falls for 6th consecutive trading day

[THE INVESTOR] On Sept. 20, SeAH BeSteel (001430) declined 1.22% to 24,350 won (US$21.74). It had declined 7.28% through the past month. Standard deviation, which indicates volatility of stock, records 1.9% on the same period over one month.

Compared with its close competitors within the same industry, KOSPI, even though the monthly earnings rate of SeAH Besteel recorded negative, its volatility for one month was proper. Over the recent month, the return-on-risk, the return on investment with consideration about risk, was -3.8%. In spite of stock price decline, the return-on-risk remained around the average of its peer group. However, compared with the KOSPI industry, the return-on-risk is below the industrial mean, -2.1, and thus it is hard to say that the industrial comparison performance was positive.

As of Sept. 19, institutions have been selling for the past two trading days and foreigners have been selling for the past three trading days. As a shareholding sum by investor group for the past four weeks, institutions have bought 67,440 shares with trending trade and individuals have bought 114,079 shares with an increasing position. However, during the same period, foreigners have sold 181,519 shares with maintenance of a selling position.
