Seoul has become the 14th most visited city by foreign travelers in 2023, according to global market analyst firm, Euromonitor. It jumped 12 notches this year from 26th in 2022.

Paris has once again been named the world’s most attractive city destination, followed by Dubai in second and Madrid in third. Tokyo came in fourth, while Amsterdam rounded up the top five, according to data.

Seoul, ranked third in Asia after Tokyo and Singapore, is higher than competing Asian cities such as Osaka (16th) and Hong Kong (17th), as well as top-ranked “good cities to live in” cities around the world such as Vienna (18th), Toronto (30th) and Zurich (32nd).

The Top 100 City Destinations Index 2023, produced in partnership with data company Lighthouse, looked at leading cities from around the world and ranked them on criteria including tourism, sustainability, economic performance, and health and safety.
